Nyx was born in the Philippines, in 1981, to missionary parents. In 2002, she completed her studies via online apprentice programs, and received College Proficiency Certificates in Performing Arts, Journalism, Audio Recording and Productions, Teaching English as a Second Language, and Communication Arts.
She speaks fluent English, basic German, can read and write Thai.
